Old Water Conservancy Hub Sluice Equipment Upgrading & Renovation Project, Ecuador

We undertook renovation project of aged water conservancy hub in Andes Mountains, Ecuador. The original gates had run for over 30 years with severe rust and operation failure, failing to meet flood control and water supply demands. Without large-scale demolition of original civil foundation, we customized embedded non-standard gates and intelligent numerical control hoists matching old gate slots with modular assembly construction. The construction period is shortened by 60% and total cost saved by 35%. After renovation, the hub fully restored flood control, water storage and water supply functions, becoming a classic renovation model for outdated water conservancy facilities in Latin America.
