Hydraulic Hinge Dam

The hydraulic hinge dam adopts a segmented hinged gate leaf structure. It realizes water level control via bottom hydraulic drive, with each dam segment operable independently, making it suitable for rivers with variable widths.


When fully lowered, the dam fits closely to the river bed for unobstructed flood passage and outstanding self-sediment flushing performance, and it can achieve bidirectional water retaining. Equipped with an intelligent control system for automatic water level adjustment, it requires less civil engineering work and delivers cost-effective investment. It is widely applied to landscape rivers, irrigation area water storage and small flood control projects.

Segmented Hinged Structure : The dam consists of multiple hinged panels, and the size of single panel can be flexibly customized.

Independent Control of Each Panel : Each dam segment can be lifted or lowered separately to realize local water storage and discharge, providing flexible water regulation modes.

Low Foundation Layout : No deep and massive gate piers are required with shallow buried foundation, which greatly cuts civil construction costs of river channels.


Full-flush Riverbed Flow Passage  :When fully collapsed, the dam fits closely to the riverbed without narrowing the flood section, ensuring smooth flood discharge in flood seasons.

Automatic Silt & Sediment Scouring : High-speed water flow scours sediment deposits in front of the dam during operation, eliminating frequent manual dredging for long-term service.

Bidirectional Water Pressure Resistance : It can withstand water heads from both upstream and downstream, suitable for water control projects in tidal rivers and backwater channels.



Stepless Lifting Adjustment : The dam can be locked at any angle between 0° and 90°, achieving precise control of water storage level and discharge flow.

Stable Hydraulic Driving : Each panel is equipped with an independent hydraulic cylinder, delivering smooth lifting without impact, shaking or deformation.

Excellent Water Sealing Performance : Rubber waterstops are installed at panel joints and the bottom to minimize leakage and reduce water loss.



Attractive Landscape Effect  :Water overflow over the upright dam forms continuous waterfalls, which can be matched with lighting to build urban waterfront landscape rivers.

Intelligent Automatic Control  :Equipped with PLC control cabinet, it supports automatic opening/closing linked with water level and remote unattended operation.
