The water stop project for port channel dredging and navigation water level regulation of ship locks carries out navigation water system management relying on channel dredging renovation, service gates of ship locks, water stop gates and water level control facilities. Regular channel dredging removes deposited sediment, widens the navigation cross-section and ensures the water depth of the channel meets navigation standards. The ship lock gates are opened and closed in stages to precisely adjust the water level inside lock chambers, adapting to the water level difference requirements for vessels entering and leaving the port. In addition, water stop gates are used for sectional water sealing and isolation to stabilize the navigation water level of the channel and avoid navigation safety hazards caused by disordered water levels. This project effectively improves the traffic capacity, navigation efficiency and water operation & maintenance stability of port waterways.
