The water control project for the full-scale farmland irrigation area takes water control gates, diversion sluices and check sluices on main canals and branch canals as core equipment to realize precise allocation and efficient utilization of water resources in the irrigation district. By regulating the main gates of the main canals, the total water conveyance volume of the whole area is coordinated, and water is distributed evenly according to the regional planting structure and farmland water demand. The branch canal diversion sluices are adopted for graded water diversion and on-demand water control to refine the field water supply scope, eliminating problems such as cross flow, overflow and water waste during canal water conveyance. Combined with supporting water-saving irrigation facilities, the canal water conveyance flow and irrigation volume are dynamically adjusted to accurately match the crop water consumption cycle, which effectively reduces water loss through seepage and evaporation in water delivery, improves the utilization rate of farmland irrigation water, ensures balanced irrigation, water conservation and efficiency improvement in the irrigation area, and lays a solid foundation for stable agricultural yield and increased farmers’ income.
